It is the Graphical User Interface because the display is filled with graphical icons like buttons, logos, windows, icons etc.,

There are more advantages than disadvantages in using gui instead of cli in any platform not only in matlab..

The topic is to consider while comparing the difference is just like Ease, Control, Multitasking, Speed, Resources, Scripting, Remote access, Diversity, Strain and so on…

Well, I used many GUI applications and those makes me easy to get my work without waste of my time.

We can’t say that GUI is good or bad. Because most of GUIs are changed the interface between user and application.
